Take your tastebuds on a tour of the best restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars near Urban Square at Jubilee, Wyndham Vale. We’ve featured many other delicious eateries near the estate, you can find our Part 1 here and Part 2 here.
Little Growling – 180 Davis Road. Tarneit
It’s all about excellent coffee (freshly roasted daily by the locals at Roasting Warehouse) and all-day toasties at Little Growling. This kid-friendly and dog-friendly café has a lush lawn out front for everyone to sprawl out and play on. This helps when you need to work off their Deluxe Cheeseburger – just one of seven burger options – filled with premium Angus beef, crisp bacon, fried egg and a special secret sauce.
Truck Stop Deluxe – 98 Watton Street, Werribee
Some days only a burger, fries and a shake will hit the spot. When cravings strike, a trip to this California-inspired greasy joint will do the trick! The long-haul truck that’s parked inside as well as the timber shelter shed will ensure you feel like you are making a road trip pit-stop. Other Americana classics on the menu include chicken waffles drizzled with honey butter, mac ‘n’ cheese croquettes and old school ice-cream sundaes (with sprinkles and cherry on top, of course).
And who among us can’t resist $1 Wing Wednesdays?
The Feasting Shed – 63 railway Avenue, Werribee
Hidden inside a plant nursery, the Feasting Shed is a semi-alfresco eatery serving all-day brunch under a canopy of greenery. They make cheeses and yogurts in-house here, pick crisp salad leaves from their very own garden and use local and foraged native plants in their dishes.
The menu is appropriately seasonal, but do order the hot cakes when available: this fluffy duo is served with raspberry gel, meringues and chocolate mousse in a cute terracotta flower pot.
